Record your observations
Note the rooms or outdoor areas involved, when you noticed activity, previous visits and any records you already have. Share existing photographs if the company requests them.
Explain whether the property is a home, individual apartment, whole building or business. For a rented or shared property, agree who can authorize work and arrange access.
Request visit-specific instructions
Ask the company what you should do before it arrives and what areas it needs to access. Explain any access constraints and ask how occupants and pets should be accommodated.
Preparation and return instructions depend on the proposed work and any products used. Obtain them directly from the professional; this guide does not set a universal re-entry time or recommend a treatment.
Agree what happens after the visit
Confirm what report or work record you will receive, who answers follow-up questions and whether another visit is included. Keep any product information, instructions, invoice and written terms together.
Ask what observations should prompt a follow-up call and what additional visits might cost. Use the quote worksheet if you are comparing ongoing plans.
